In the months leading up to the release of Splatoon back in 2015, Nintendo held a “Global Testfire” demo for the game, essentially an open beta that allowed players to try out the colorful team-based shooter only during set times. That certainly worked well in building up fan excitement for the game, so Nintendo will be repeating the process with a “Global Testpunch” demo for the Switch brawler Arms.
The demo is available to download now from the eShop, but the Global Testpunch event doesn’t kick off until May 26. Below is the full list of dates and times for the demo:

In addition, Nintendo unveiled three new fighters duing today’s Arms-focused Nintendo Direct: a security robot called Byte and its robotic canine companion Barq; an A-list movie star known as Twintelle; and an extreme “snakeboarder” named Kid Cobra. You can see them all in action in the full broadcast below:
Arms launches exclusively for Switch on June 16. Are you excited for the title? Sound off in the comments!
I will be absolutely horrendous at this game, and I will never stop playing it.
