Amiibo fans will have another game to use their figures with this week. Just in time for the launch of the New Nintendo 3DS, the company will release a patch that allows players to use their Amiibo in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.
The patch will be available on February 10. Amiibo will work the same in the 3DS title as they do in the Wii U version. Rather than controlling that particular character, players level up their Amiibo fighter by pitting them against other players. They do not, however, work in online play. Amiibo will only be compatible with the upcoming New Nintendo 3DS model.
