@james. I really liked Fragile’s story except the end. Its kinda hokey and kills the emotion for me. Honestly I would have been happier without an explanation of how the world got that way and just had a sad story in it. Still love it. Also the sound design in that game is brilliant. (if you listen to your competitor podcast RFN I think about a year ago they responded to my email about the game.)

Fragile Dreams is a game that I would really, really, really like to see on the 3DS. Especially since that would mean that the play control would need to be tweaked.

Here are the changes which would make it a better game.

    1. Let me L-Target an enemy.
    2. Make searching a first person affair where you move your 3DS to search.
    3. Let me move in the direction that I am pushing the slide pad.
    4. Touch Screen Menu navigation.

You could fit everything in the Wii game into a 3DS game and even improve some of the graphics due to the smaller screen real estate.

Anyhow, Fragile Dreams is a great game. It’s just a bad fit for the controls it has been given.

There seems to be a problem with iTunes. I can’t seem to download the podcast. I’m listening to it online but just so you know for the future.

This happened to me a few weeks ago, 147 and 148 didn’t materialize in iTunes until quite far down the line. You can always right click the “Download” option above and copy the file to your desktop but still, iTunes should be behaving.

This is because iTunes is a buggy piece of trash. What I do is save directly from this site. Besides, you should be visiting Nintendojo every day to see if there is a new episode. :-P

I can’t wait too see the power of the ps4 will have. For those that think ot can’t get much better than ps3 in terms of graphics, think about this: a football game where each blade of grass in polyganal and each blade of grass has it’s own phsyics. Each player has 10’s of thousands of indivodualy reanered strands of hair, each with their own physics animations. That will be in the ps5 or ps6 generation. The future will hold many mind boggling things. Provided we don’t kill off our own species before then.

Wow. Every blade of grass has 60+ frames of grass animation?

In what way does this help gameplay?

In what world is hiring a Grass Modeler not a horrible waste of money?

Great episode of the podcast! A few thoughts –

    – Did Marc forget the name of a game called “Amnesia”? LOL, irony.
    – I love how Noah tries to justify the name of the issues every single week, we may have to start picking even more bizarre titles to test him.
    – Be thankful you have Netflix or any kind of device, the service isn’t available in Europe.
    – I find it amusing that Noah worries about the impending release of the PS4 when it’s taken him this long to seriously consider getting a PS3. You’re many things Noah but an early adopter is not one them :P

Seems I can’t download this episode. I’d really like to add it to my collection for… reasons.
