Welcome to Now Playing. This week’s release calendar was pretty slow due to the holiday week in America, and this resulted in only download releases for Nintendo’s systems. A whopping two releases on the 3DS Virtual Console marks this a red-letter week for the service.

Fortified Zone is a two-player game about two secret agents infiltrating a military fortress. The game can be played with the two players alternating, so each would hold the system upon his or her turn. Playing solo, the player can alternate between the two agents, each of whom has different abilities for accessing different areas of the fortress.
Just Jam, meanwhile, is an opportunity for Wii owners to mix and create their own tunes. Tracks, rhythms, and sound effects can be customized, and there are 16 tracks to customize. Mixes can also be done freestyle while the song is playing. There are also additional downloadable jams to be available for those who want even more mixing action.
