With the announcement of the Super Nintendo Classic Edition, once again rumors have begun to fly about whether or not the company’s follow-up console will get a similar treatment. While the Nintendo 64 has never been held in as high a regard as the SNES, it still stands as a watershed for the gaming industry, and there are some terrific titles Nintendo could put on a Classic Edition should the company choose to make one.
This list does not necessarily represent the 10 best games on the Nintendo 64. Certainly, there are better games than some of the ones listed! Rather, instead this list focuses on which ten would make the most sense to include on a Nintendo 64 Classic Edition based on a number of other factors. Without further ado, here are Nintendojo’s Top 10 picks for the system’s must-have games!

Yeah good luck with GoldenEye…We can only dream. Anyway assuming it and pretty much every other RARE game WON’T be on the system my list is very similar but has a few substitutions:
1) Super Mario 64
2) Zelda: Ocarina of Time
3) Zelda: Majora’s Mask
4) Mario Kart 64
5) Donkey Kong 64
6) Star Fox 64
7) Wave Race 64
8) Pilotwings 64
9) 1080 Snowboarding
10) F-Zero X
This list omits Mischief Makers, therefore it is incomplete.
