3. Bowser and Peach
Bowser is clearly head over heels in love with Princess Peach. There can be no other explanation for his constant plans to abduct her. They say all is fair in love and war, but this is not war. He has his own Kingdom, he has innumerable castles in many lands, he has an army (fair enough, it’s a rubbish army with no concept of military strategy, but still…) – Peach is in no way a political prisoner. As for whether it is reciprocal, though…? Well…maybe.
Peach has shown her skill and finesse in combat in the Super Smash Bros. series (Hell, she even keeps a sword in her petticoats), as well as in her own game. She could use that massive dress of hers to hover away from him if she really wanted, but she doesn’t fight back at all. Peach has never been hurt by Bowser, either, implying no struggle. In Super Mario Sunshine, there was that whole debacle over whether Peach was mother of Bowser Jr…. All I’m saying is, that story would not have even been made up unless there was something going on between them. Why would Bowser invent such a story, unless there was a chance, even the tiniest sliver of a chance, it could be true!? Maybe it’s Stockholm syndrome, maybe Peach is cheating on Mario… Or maybe…something else entirely?
