This is one that often goes understated when placed next to the more prolific Mario and Peach relationship, but the love is perhaps all the more stronger for it. Think of all the media attention that Peach and Mario must get (The Real Housewives of Mushroom Kingdom, anyone?), and think how much stress it will put them under! Daisy’s only real outings nowadays are for Peach’s aforementioned gaming ceremonies, and Luigi’s last solo adventure was when he went ghost hunting in Luigi’s Mansion (they could live there now).
Maybe they just spend quality time with each other, not taking for granted the beautiful thing they have. If they stay indoors all the time, they at least avoid all the kidnappings that Peach suffers, which I can imagine puts a lot of strain on her relationship with Mario. What’s more, her Kingdom of Sarasa Land hasn’t even been seen since Super Mario Land; maybe she gave up the Crown to be with Luigi?
