Pokémon Trading Card Game: 30th Celebration Expansion Drops in September

Pokémon’s 30th anniversary is in full swing, with various collaborations and celebrations taking place all over the world. The big one that most have been waiting for, however, is whatever the Pokémon TCG has hidden up its sleeve. Now, fans can take their first look at Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration and the wondrous cards that will be on offer:

Here’s more about the latest expansion straight from The Pokémon Company International:

Every pack of cards in the 30th Celebration expansion will have a special foil Pikachu card drawn by 30 different artists. There are also 30 classic TCG cards being rereleased as part of this set for fans to discover. When the expansion launches on September 16, 2026, it will be the first Pokémon TCG set to have a simultaneous global release.

Alas, while The Pokémon Company International is doing what it can to curtail scalpers in Japan, there’s been zero word on any efforts here in the U.S. Odds are probably pretty low that anyone will ever see any of these cards in the wild, meaning many fans will be getting royally ripped off by third-party sellers when Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration hits stores. But hey, it’s the thought that counts… or something.
