The Game Awards are primed for December 11, 2025, and the list of nominees have just been released. The most prestigious of the awards is, naturally, Game of the Year, and Nintendo has managed to secure a nomination. Here’s the full list of candidates:
- Donkey Kong Bananza
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- Death Stranding 2: On the Beach
- Hades II
- Hollow Knight: Silksong
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
It’s a pretty stacked ticket, for sure, particularly with the likes of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 snagging 12 nominations (a record), making it the likely title to beat this year. Regardless, DK is a great game, so who knows, maybe it will surprise folks and squeak out a victory. Beyond that, Mario Kart World has a couple of nominations, as well, and if you’re interested, you can check out the whole list at this link.
