We’ve been having a lot of fun with Splatoon since it launched for Wii U last Friday, and we’re not the only ones: in the UK, the game has quickly become the console’s fastest-selling new franchise, and players have engaged in so many Turf Wars that Nintendo has already unlocked the Ranked Battles feature only a couple of days after the game released.
One of the most appealing aspects of Splatoon is the vast amount of gear it contains, from ability-bestowing footwear and clothing to a variety of different firearms (inkarms?) with which to equip your Inkling. The weapons in particular have been a joy to experiment with, and while there are a number of different ones to choose from, they all fall into one of three basic weapon types: shooters, chargers, and rollers.
