The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences will be hosting the 27th annual D.I.C.E. (Design Innovate Communicate Entertain) Awards on February 15, 2024 at the 2024 D.I.C.E. Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada. A prestigious industry award, to be sure, and one that Nintendo is potentially going to be walking away with a few of upon conclusion of the ceremony. Leading the way is The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which has been nominated for Game of the Year.
We’re pleased to announce the nominees for the 27th Annual #DICEAwards!
A total of 56 games are nominated this year, led by Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 with 9 nominations, Alan Wake 2 with 8, Baldur’s Gate 3 with 7, and COCOON with 6.

It’s certainly not the first time Tears of the Kingdom has been given a nod for GotY, having been nominated for the same honor at The Game Awards this past December as well as the upcoming New York Game Awards later this month. Now, D.I.C.E. has also put the game on its short list of nominees. Along with Tears of the Kingdom (which has five nominations), Super Mario Bros. Wonder has four noms (including Outstanding Achievement in Game Design), while F-Zero 99 is up for Racing Game of the Year.
Not too shabby given what a packed slate 2023 was for exceptional game releases. If you’re interested in seeing the full list of nominees and awards categories, do hit up this link. We’ll be sure to let you all know how Nintendo does following the ceremony. In the interim, tell us your predictions down in comments and on social media!
