While the Yo-Kai Watch brand isn’t quite as hot as it used to be, Level 5 is still happy to keep the hype up with a Switch remaster of the first game. Titled Yo-Kai Watch 1, this updated version, of course, features higher resolution visuals as well as tweaks to keep the whole experience on one screen, a necessary change considering the game’s 3DS origins. However, there will also be some new content, including online battles in which friends can challenge each other with their own parties of spirits.
Not too many details were given about how these features will be implemented, but we won’t have too long to wait to learn more, seeing how the game releases in Japan October 10. However, gamers outside of Japan might have a longer wait to play the game seeing how nothing has been said regarding an international release at this time and the turnaround time on previous entries in the franchise has been quite long- we’re talking about years, not months.
