In the next couple of months, Wii U owners will feel a bit lighter in the wallet area as a number of strong exclusive titles are set to make their debut on the system. Fans looking forward to Xenoblade Chronicles X will have another wallet-lightening option in the form of a very nice special edition that will set gamers back a little bit extra. The special edition will include the following:
- A copy of Xenoblade Chronicles X.
- A 100-page Art Book, featuring never-before-seen concept sketches.
- An art card of a painting for the game by illustrator Takashi Kojo.
- A USB drive modeled after a “Lifehold Unit.” The drive will come pre-loaded with 10 music tracks from the game.
It’s nice to see North America receive this type of special edition, as these things often tend to remain exclusive to Europe or Japan. It’s also even more impressive considering that the game’s predecessor had a difficult time seeing any release in North America! Unfortunately, Europe’s special edition of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water hasn’t had any sort of announcement. In fact, the title does not have a physical release scheduled at all, though fans have been trying to convince Nintendo of America otherwise. It would certainly be nice to see both special editions arrive on the console this year!
The Xenoblade Chronicles X special edition will retail for $89.99 when it releases on December 4. Fans can currently preorder the special edition from select retailers.

This looks good, I’ll get this for sure. Btw, did anyone see this? http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/nintendo-begins-selling-games-digitally-at-amazon/ I see a trend here, and it’s not a good one. Anyone still think the NX WON’T be all digital?
