Teased during the most recent Nintendo Direct broadcast, Wave 5 of the Booster Course Pack DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was announced as coming this summer, but there was no clear indication of when exactly that would be. Well, it turns out that the date in question is July 12, which is next week! Along with three new racers (Kamek, Wiggler, and Petey Piranha), there will be eight additional courses to enjoy. There are:
- Feather Cup
- Athens Dash (Mario Kart Tour | Mobile)
- Daisy Cruiser (Mario Kart Double Dash!! | GameCube)
- Moonview Highway (Mario Kart Wii | Wii)
- Squeaky Clean Sprint
- Cherry Cup
- Los Angeles Lap (Mario Kart Tour | Mobile)
- Sunset Wilds (Mario Kart Advance | Game Boy Advance)
- Koopa Cape (Mario Kart Wii | Wii)
- Vancouver Velocity (Mario Kart Tour | Mobile)

As with the previous waves from the Booster Course Pass, you can either purchase it outright for a single payment of $24.99, or it comes as part of an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.
