Wave 5 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass will release this summer. When it finally drops, players will be treated to the return of not one, not two, but three characters to the Mario Kart roster. They are:
- Petey Piranha (Mario Kart Double Dash!!, GameCube)
- Wiggler (Mario Kart 7, Nintendo 3DS)
- Kamek (Mario Kart Tour, Mobile)
What’s more, the headliner track for this batch of race courses will be the amazing looking Squeaky Clean Sprint, which seems to take place entirely on and in a tub in a bathroom. Check it all out:
This is the penultimate release in the Booster Course Pass, by the way. Nintendo promised six waves, with the final coming before the end of 2023. There are also still a couple of roster spots open, with many hoping Diddy and/or Funky Kong will make their triumphant returns before the end. This DLC is available for $24.99 or for no additional charge as part of a subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service.
