Ahead of tomorrow’s Splatfest, Nintendo has unveiled two more weapons for Splatoon, which will be added to the game’s weapon shop tonight at 7 PM Pacific Time.
The first is a new shooter dubbed the N-Zap ’89. Like the previous N-Zap, this gun is modeled after the Zapper peripheral for NES, particularly the later version with its distinctive orange handle and barrel. Unlike the earlier model, this variation comes coupled with the Sprinkler subweapon and allows you to fire off Inkstrikes when your special gauge has been filled.

The second new weapon is a roller called the Octobrush. As its name implies, the Octobrush resembles an oversized paintbrush, and its thick bristles allow you to fling more ink than other rollers. It also comes paired with Squid Beakons, and when players have filled their special gauge, they can further pressure foes by transforming into the Kraken.

Will you be purchasing either of today’s new weapons? Which side did you join for tomorrow’s Splatfest? Let us know in the comments!
