Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes was officially revealed during last week’s Nindies Showcase, but at the time there was no word on whether Travis Touchdown’s next outing would be a solo affair like the previous entries in the series.
In a recent interview with Polygon though, Director Suda51 teased that there may be a multiplayer feature in the game. He explained that the whole game can be played with a single Joy-Con controller and that:
“As far as what’s going to happen with the other Joy-Con, at this point technically it’s still a secret. [We’re] going to be releasing information at some point in the future, [but] as you can see, there are … two main characters, so draw your own conclusions, if you want.”
The second character referred to is Badman, who featured heavily in the game’s initial trailer. He is the father of Badgirl, who Travis killed while climbing the assassin’s ranks. As the trailer shows though, he’s not exactly fond of Travis and so it will be interesting to see how any multiplayer is explained in-game.
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes will be released in 2018 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
