Not much has been said about Hyrule Warriors Legends since it was announced, but now we can confirm a new character for the portable take on the Zelda-Dynasty Warriors hybrid that first came to Wii U last year. That character is none other than Link at his cutest, Toon Link.
The pint sized, cel-shaded Hero of Winds will not be available to play in the game’s Legends mode, but he will be playable throughout the rest of the game. Furthermore, by linking your 3DS with the Wii U version, you’ll be able to play as Toon Link on the big screen. Also, the Helmaroc King will be featured in the game, which along with Toon Link and the previously revealed Tetra and King of Hyrule/King of Red Lions makes Wind Waker especially well represented.
Hopefully this is just one of many more announcements as we learn just how much the 3DS version of Hyrule Warriors will differ from its older console brother.
