We hope you’ve been keeping up with Nintendo and Game Freak’s yearlong celebration of all things Pokémon, as the next pair of Legendaries are coming to the 3DS family! Tornadus and Thundurus are the next free downloads; the duo can be obtained via codes obtained at a local Target. Here’s the breakdown of what each ‘mon will bring to the particular game it’s downloaded to:
Thundurus
- Pokémon Ultra Sun
Level: 100
Ability: Prankster
Held Item: Gold Bottle Cap
Moves: Thunderbolt, Focus Blast, Grass Knot, Nasty Plot
- Pokémon Sun
Level: 60
Ability: Prankster
Moves: Discharge, Crunch, Charge, Nasty Plot
Tornadus
- Pokémon Ultra Moon
Level: 100
Ability: Prankster
Held Item: Gold Bottle Cap
Moves: Hurricane, Heat Wave, Grass Knot, Tailwind
- Pokémon Moon
Level: 60
Ability: Prankster
Moves: Air Slash, Crunch, Tailwind, Rain Dance
Distribution in the US begins on July 17 and ends on July 28. Meanwhile, our friends across the pond will be be getting their hands on this pair of Legendaries earlier: July 6. The Pokémon will be available through the games’ Mystery Gift functionality, with distribution in that region ending on July 22.
