If you fancy using your Nintendo Switch as a multimedia hub for watching video content as well as playing games, you’re soon to have one less app to utilize. Come February 5, 2026, Disney’s Hulu app will no longer work on Nintendo Switch. The news was revealed via Nintendo of America’s support page:

- Discontinuation of Hulu App on Nintendo Switch
- Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, Nintendo Switch – OLED Model
- The Hulu app is no longer available in the Nintendo Switch eShop with support for the application ending on February 5, 2026.
While this discontinuation conforms with previously stated plans from Disney to phase out standalone Hulu apps (the service has been rolled into Disney+ and will be accessible via that platform moving forward), it isn’t clear if Disney+ will be coming to Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 at any point in the future. Indeed, there are currently no streaming apps available on Switch 2, with the Switch YouTube app currently incompatible with the console.
