Fans caught a wee glimpse of Tales of Eternia Remastered during last week’s Nintendo Direct broadcast. Now, Bandai Namco is giving the game a proper showing with the below announcement trailer. Go on and give it a look, then we’ll catch up with one another after that:
Not too shabby, eh? Let’s see what our good friends at Bandai Namco have to say about Tales of Eternia Remastered:
In Tales of Eternia Remastered, players will follow Reid Hershel and his friends on an epic journey filled with unforgettable characters and a story shaped by the cultural differences between two worlds. Set in Eternia, a world where the realms of Inferia and Celestia face each other across the sky, players will join Reid, Farah, Keele, and the mysterious Meredy on a perilous quest. Together, they must stop the “Grand Fall,” a cataclysmic collision of the two worlds, by seeking the power of the Greater Craymel while confronting their own inner selves along the way.
Tales of Eternia Remastered is a remastered version of TALES OF ETERNIA, one of the earliest entries of the TALES series first released in 2001 as TALES OF DESTINY II.

Here are the features coming to Tales of Eternia Remastered:
- Graphics Mode and SFX Mode: Freely switch between remastered and original visuals and sound effects.
- Boost Feature: Adjust experience gained and encounter frequency
- Toggleable destination icons
- High-speed mode during Auto-mode mid-battle
- Battle Retry
- Quick Recovery
- Extreme difficulty mode available from the start of the game
- All-new difficulty level called Unknown (unlocked after completing the game)
Fans won’t have long to wait to try out this iteration of the game, as Tales of Eternia Remastered will come to Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on October 16, 2026.
