Back when Nintendo launched Nintendo Switch Online it promised to offer subscriber-exclusive items or discounts, but the company hasn’t exactly been prolific in this regard. Nintendo has offered some exclusive in-game content, such as items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and gear in Splatoon 2, but the most substantial items available only to Switch Online subscribers have been the wireless NES and SNES controllers (and the SNES controller is currently sold out with no information on when, if it at all, it’ll be making a return).
If you’re a Switch Online subscriber and haven’t yet purchased the NES controllers, you’re in luck: the two-pack is currently on sale for 30% off! That brings the price down from $59.99 to $41.99. The discount is temporary and runs only until May 4 at 11:59 pm PDT, so act fast if you’ve been waiting to grab these.
For those of you with the NES or SNES controllers (or both), what do you think of them compared to the original controllers? What subscriber-exclusive items, either physical or in-game, would you like to see from Nintendo for Nintendo Switch Online members?
