Super Mario Run (which we thought was a swell time on mobile) was recently updated with a new Easy Mode in order to offer a gentler experience for less skilled and younger players. To coincide with this new feature, Nintendo is now also having the game play host to a special Golden Goomba event! The event should prove compelling to fans for a couple of different reasons.
For one, Golden Goombas will be worth 30 coins apiece when stomped; that’s a decent chunk of change that should contribute quite nicely to the coffers of those who are trying to buy every item available in the game. For another, these Golden Goombas will be appearing at random as fans play the game. Smoosh 20 of the little baddies and a special Golden Goomba statue will become available for Kingdom Builder mode!
