Since its iOS release in December of last year, Super Mario Run has proven to be quite successful; the game has been downloaded 78 million times, with about 4 million being converted to the purchase of the full game. If any of those millions of gamers have found the game a little difficult, they might glad to hear about this most recent update.
In addition to the usual update tweaks, including bug fixes and the addition of new languages, a new Easy Mode has been added to the game. This mode removes time limits and adds a “Bubble” option for completing stages that sounds similar to a mechanic features in several New Super Mario games. Also, losing Toad Rallies will result in fewer lost Toads and you’ll now be able to use My Nintendo to select the Toad gift more than once.
Nintendo’s moves into the mobile market have been big news, especially recently with the release of Fire Emblem Heroes on Android just a few days away on February 2. Also, Nintendo announced today that Animal Crossing’s move to mobile has been pushed back to its next fiscal year.
