Remember when every radio station wouldn’t stop playing “The Reason” by Hoobastank, and they forever became the band known only for “The Reason”? Well maybe the fact that Hoobastank’s lead singer has performed the vocals for Sonic Forces’ main theme will help the band escape from the mantle of that one song from a handful of years ago. (Probably not.)
Douglas Robb, lead singer of Hoobastank, is the man behind the voice performing “Fist Bump,” the epic theme to Sonic’s upcoming adventure, Sonic Forces. The song was composed and arranged by Tomoya Ohtani and the strings were arranged by Takahito Eguchi. Check out the short sample of the song below:
I mean, let’s be real, this is no “Live and Learn,” “hanging on the edge of tomorrow” and all that. With all the hardcore guitars and grit and intensity and raw emotion. (I’m kidding.) But the song definitely seems to capture the action and energy of Sonic games. Unfortunately, we have to wait for Sonic Forces to come to Switch during the 2017 holiday season until we can get the full Sonic Forces experience.
What do you think of the sample of “Fist Bump”? Will you be picking up Sonic Forces?
