Nightdive Studios continues its streak of bringing classic games to modern platforms, and next up is System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster.

Revealed during the Future Games Show: Spring Showcase, this remastered edition of the iconic 1999 sci-fi horror RPG is set to launch on June 26, 2025, for Nintendo Switch and other platforms. The game has been rebuilt using Nightdive’s proprietary KEX Engine, ensuring a smoother experience on modern hardware.

Interestingly, while Nightdive’s remake of the original System Shock (1994) never made its way to Nintendo consoles, the arrival of System Shock 2 on Switch might signal a change. The remaster promises enhanced visuals, refined gameplay, better performance, cross-platform co-op multiplayer, mod support, and more. Pre-orders are already available on select platforms, with Switch pre-orders coming soon.
