Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 is a bit like Batman: Arkham Trilogy in that it’s a compilation of many classic games that one can’t help but wish was handled a little better than it was. In the case of Master Collection, despite having multiple classic Metal Gear games in tow, the compilation suffers from a bafflingly low framerate and awkward presentation. Regardless, having these games in one package on Switch is something that Nintendo fans have never been able to experience, and as such plenty o folks have been sinking their teeth into the collection, warts and all.
Thankfully, Konami is at least trying to put in some effort to improve things, as the company will be releasing an update for Master Collection that will bring it up to Version 1.5.0. This update will do the following, according to the patch notes:

That’s quite a bit, and plenty of it focused on stuff like quality of life fixes, which will certainly make the game a better experience for players. Unfortunately, while this update is out now for Steam players, it won’t be coming to Nintendo Switch until the latter part of this month. Bummer, but we’ll let you all know once it’s live.
