And like that, the rumors have proven to be true. We reported last week on a deluxe LEGO Mario Kart set primed for a May release. As announced by Nintendo and LEGO, this set is indeed real and it will launch in May, but not on the first, but instead 05.15. Here’s your first look at the set:

Not too shabby, eh? And as noted above, beyond the release date, the set is pretty much exactly what the leak described (and showed). $169.99 MSRP, 1,972 pieces, and a large build featuring an oversized Mario and a standard kart.
