E3 2018 didn’t offer the most exciting of presentations that Nintendo has ever made, but former Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima did later provide fans some solace by stating that not all of the company’s 2018 software lineup had been revealed. That was July— flash forward to now and rumors are swirling that one of those secret games might be a port of New Super Mario Bros. U.
New Super Mario Bros. U was a Wii U launch title and represents the most recent installment in the franchise. It didn’t do much to expand the New Super Mario Bros. formula, but it was a very fun platformer, nonetheless. It also received a very significant DLC package in the form of New Super Luigi U, which introduced a stricter stage time limit alongside Luigi’s own unique jump and gait. Now, the whole shebang might be arriving as one collection on Switch.
It would be a welcome addition in that Nintendo’s hybrid console has been devoid of a proper 2D Super Mario platformer since its launch. The sources for this report apparently have roots in Nintendo of Europe, and have allegedly spilled the beans on projects like Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle in the past. What’s more, another kernel of information suggests that the game will be titled New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.
Take of that what you will, dear readers. We’ll update as we hear more, but for now file this one under “interesting” and keep your fingers crossed.

I hope this is true, but I was hoping for a New Super Mario Bros collection. One that includes all of them NSMB, NSMB2, NSMB Wii and NSMB U.
It would be even cooler if they do a 3 part collection:
Part 1: Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros, SMB 2, SMB Lost Levels, SMB 3, SM World, SM Land SM Land 2
Part 2: All of the New Super Mario Bros and the Semi-3D Super Mario 3D Land and World
Part 3: The 3D Marios, Mario 64, Sunshine and the Galaxies.
Bonus “The Spin Offs”: Yoshi games, Super Princess Peach, Mario is Missing, etc.
All of them with widescreen support and in HD. I know this is just wishful thinking.
