We reported today on the dissolution of the team of devs at Ubisoft that worked on Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown following the game’s weak sales. It seems that some of those staffers were repositioned to work on a new project: Rayman. A remake of the original Rayman, to be specific, which launched on PlayStation back in 1995.

The move makes a lot of sense given that the staffers involved had worked on Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends, both of which were very warmly received. What’s more, Rayman creator Michael Ancel will be helping as a consultant on the game. While all of this is exciting news in theory, Ubisoft is currently in a state of disarray, meaning the possibility of this supposed Rayman remake coming to fruition might be tenuous.
