You’ve gotta love how wild the rumor mill can be when it comes to Nintendo. The scuttlebutt pertaining to the successor of Switch has been some of the best, with all sorts of assertions about everything from backwards compatibility to a new, fancier screen have abounded for years. Now, word on the street is that the so-called Switch 2 reveal, or news pertaining to Switch 2, are coming at some point this month. Former Nintendojo writer Christopher Dring, now of GamesIndustry.biz, is fueling this particular rumor:
With industry whispers around ‘something’ Switch 2-related happening this month. I thought I’d remind everyone of the official list of the greatest games consoles of all time.

“Something Switch 2-related happening this month” leaves a lot of room for interpretation, but it’s nonetheless fascinating to hear that industry people are floating this around. Nintendo stated this past May that it will be revealing its Switch successor within the company’s current fiscal year. Technically, that means from now until March 2025, but for many the likelihood of a Switch 2 reveal before Christmas followed by a spring ’25 launch seems right. But will that be how things actually shake out? Stick with Nintendojo and we’ll report on what we learn as the story unfolds.
