Wii U and Nintendo 3DS owners have been treated to two Disney Infinity titles thus far. The original game predominantly featured Disney’s more recent popular characters (Jack Sparrow, Mr. Incredible), while the sequel heavily focused on characters from Marvel Comics (Spider-Man, Captain America). A third title in the series has all but been confirmed, but a recent leak posted by Infinity Inquirer may have given us some new characters to expect in the upcoming title! We’ve mirrored the supposedly leaked image below!
If the leak is to be believed, the new lineup of figures will feature Olaf, the snowman from Frozen, Mulan, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Sam Flynn and Quorra from Tron Legacy and a handful of characters from the upcoming Pixar film Inside Out.
Like all rumors, it’s important to take this with a grain of salt, but one also has to wonder what the likelihood of a fake like this would be. We’ve seen fake announcements about Disney Infinity 3.0 in the past, but they usually featured less likely additions to get fans buzzing, like the crew from DuckTales. The image looks fairly authentic, and the addition of Olaf and characters from Inside Out seems like a no-brainer. It’s also important to note that Disney requested that Infinity Inquirer take the image down, lending a little more credibility to the rumor. File this one under “plausible!”
