Blockbuster has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, a form of bankruptcy that permits reorganization under the bankruptcy laws of the U.S. The company intends to reemerge with a stronger foundation of digitally distributed media, but analysts expect that many physical Blockbuster locations will close permanently.

Epic Mickey Pushes the Wii “to its capability and ultimate limit”
During an interview with Computer and Video games, producer of Epic Mickey, Raul Ramirez, has alludes that Epic Mickey has pushed the Wii to it’s graphical limitations: “We do have such a great experienced staff at Junction Point that we were able to, as we feel, push the Wii to it’s capability and ultimate limit and provide a beautiful story for the player to jump into.”

Shantae Sequel Release Date Announced
The sequel to Game Boy Color’s Shantae, Shantae: Risky’s Revenge, is intended to be released on the fourth of October; a European release date has yet to be announced.

New Naruto Shippuden announced
A new addition to the Shippuden game series, Naruto Shippuden: Gekitou Ninja Taisen Special, is slated for release on the Wii in Japan December 12th of this year; the game boasts 41 playable characters, including Sage Naruto, Shikamaru, Rock Lee, Sasuke, Kakashi, Jaraiya and Ino.
