New Castlevania game coming to Nintendo 3DS
The latest issue of Nintendo Power has revealed the next game in Konami’s perennial series, Castlevania. The double-subtitled game, titled Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate, is coming to Nintendo 3DS, and it’s being developed by MercurySteam, the same developer behind 2010’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. The new 3DS Castlevania will feature some of the side-scrolling gameplay we have come to know and love, but this time there is going to be an increased focus on combat and RPG-esque character progression. Why not look at some screenshots right now? So far, we’ve got no firm release date, but Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate will be playable at E3 next week.

Nintendo teases launch titles for Wii U to Facebook fans
Because we just can’t get enough hype for Wii U, today the official Wii U Facebook page posted a cryptic status that officially revealed… not much. Nintendo posted the following:
“Guess what the initial game releases will be for Nintendo’s new home console, Wii U? Soon we’ll scratch off to reveal the names! ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒.”
Are the blurred out words really meant to stand in for Wii U launch titles? If so, they clock in at 33, 27, and 19 characters respectively. It seems we’ll have to endure the agonizing wait for E3 in order to find out what’s really going to launch with Wii U.

We can only hope the Big N scratches them off before Tuesday!
El e3 va a estar genial, no puedo esperar mas, este es la mejor epoca del año para mi, vamos nintendo, sorprendeme como solo tu sabes hacerlo!
“The Legend of Zelda” is 19 characters… just sayin’.
But unless Nintendo is planning to release a reboot or something, there would have to be a subtitle involved somewhere. Plus, if these are supposed to be launch window titles, woud they really release a new Zelda a year after Skyward Sword? I mean, they made Majora’s Mask in a year, but A) that game was short compared to Ocarina, and B) this is the N64 we are talking about, and C) a game engine was already in place, as well as several art and sound assets.
The only way Zelda would be coming out near Wii U’s launch is if Retro has been working on it. It could be that when Nintendo comissioned Retro to do Wii U Zelda, they were expecting Skyward to come sooner than it actually did, maybe in Fiscal Year 2010.
Man, if only “Super Mario Universe” fit into one of those configurations…
For all we know, the length of these blanks might not even be accurate, and they may be lengthened or shortened just to throw us off. You have a point, too, after Galaxy how much more epic can you get than the entire Universe? After that…. I don’t know, maybe Mario can travel through time….
That I’d like to see! Maybe Mario will ditch Sonic and team up with The Doctor instead! XD
Oooooh, who needs Star Trek? Though in all honesty I’d prefer to see the Doctor tackle a Metroid outbreak.
