Nintendo Shares Weekly Serving of Downloads
As per usual, Nintendo today released a handful of downloadable games for various platforms, the most salient of which, Sakurai Samurai: Art of the Sword on Nintendo eShop and DSi Ware, has enjoyed great critical reception.
Here are the week’s other new titles:
- GO Series: Undead Storm on Nintendo eShop and DSi Ware
- Drown in the Now by The Crystal Method on Nintendo eShop. It’s not a game but a short animation, and will see release on February 3rd at 3 p.m. PST.
- Carmen Sandiego Adventures in Math: The Great Gateway Grab for WiiWare

Nintendo Zone Exploring New Features
Availability to new content has been detailed for users of Nintendo Zone, the big N’s recently announced online network. Nintendo 3DS owners can look forward to playable demos of upcoming games, as well as full episodes of the Pokémon TV series! To unlock the goodness, search for one of the 29,000 Nintendo Zone locations available in North America. The new goodies hit on February 6th.

Link and Zelda Pitted One Against the Other in Soul Calibur V
The folks over at NowGamer sure are flexing their creativity with Soul Calibur V‘s character generator, as attested by this martial match-up.
I must say, the aesthetics are pretty spot-on (though Link’s hat could do with a bit less… perkiness). The quiver on his back, as well as Zelda’s use of an orb, are a great touch on an already instantly recognizable duo. For context on the creative process, check out the source link below.
