According to the game’s official twitter account, Rocket League has now passed the 40 million player mark worldwide.
The game was originally released back in 2015 on PC and Playstation 4, and has since been ported to almost all major platforms. Of course, the game came to Switch more recently on November 14 2017, which no doubt helped give a late game boost to those numbers, as back in July 2017 it was reported that the game had reached 33 million global players.

In fact, Rocket League has done so well on Switch that the developer is releasing a physical version of the game later this month.
