Psyonix has announced that the Rocket League Collector’s Edition will be arriving on Switch in North America on January 16, Oceania on January 24, ‘Central Europe’ on January 25 and in the UK and the rest of Europe on January 26.
The physical edition will cost $39.99USD / €39.99 / £34.99, which is roughly double the price of the eShop version, but includes the following:
- Rocket League Full Game
- Supersonic Fury DLC Pack
- Revenge of the Battle-Cars DLC Pack
- Chaos Run DLC Pack
- Aftershock DLC Car
- Marauder DLC Car
- Esper DLC Car
- Masamune DLC Car
- Customization Items inspired by DC Comics’ The Flash
- Limited Art Print by Psyonix Concept Artist, Jay Zhang
It’s also worth noting that the RRP is higher than the equivalent Xbox One and PS4 versions, which the developer claims is a result of the higher cartridge manufacturing costs on Switch.
Of course, judging by how high Rocket League is in the Switch eShop sales chart, the developers may well find that most fans have already gone ahead and bought the digital version of the game.

“judging by how high Rocket League is in the Switch eShop sales chart, the developers may well find that most fans have already gone ahead and bought the digital version of the game.”
And then there are old timers like me who, while I do download plenty of e-shop games, sometimes hold out for physical versions.
The physical version of Rocket League will be my first purchase of this game. It will look nice next to my Multi-Verse edition of Axiom Verge.
Now, about that Yooka-Laylee cartridge…
