It has been a hot minute since Rayman has appeared in his own adventure. The last Rayman game was the rerelease of Rayman Legends on Nintendo Switch all the way back in 2017. If you want to be a stickler about things, however, technically Rayman Legends in its original form released in 2013 on Wii U—a whopping nine years ago! Well, thankfully developer Ubisoft has finally seen fit to dust off old arm-less (and leg-less) for some fun with Mario and his old Rabbids buddies. Rayman will be coming to Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope as part of the game’s paid DLC.
The announcement was made at the end of the company’s Ubisoft Forward presentation where it showed off some gameplay of Sparks of Hope. Director David Soliani tweeted about the reveal shortly afterwards, sending fans into a veritable frenzy. It’s ironic that Rayman has gone from being the headliner that introduced the world to the Rabbids to now being a guest star in their own crossover with Super Mario. The Rayman DLC doesn’t have a firm release date but is said to be coming “post-launch” of Sparks of Hope. Are you excited to see Rayman making his return? Why not tell us down in the comments!
