The 3DS eShop title Pokémon Shuffle is now available on iOS devices. Earlier this summer, The Pokémon Company announced that the free-to-play title would see release on cell phones, actually arriving before Nintendo’s own mobile game initiative officially kicks off. The title is also expected to arrive on Android devices as well, but a release date has yet to be announced.
The puzzle title seems to be a good fit for phone devices, where free-to-play games like Candy Crush have found quite a bit of success. The Pokémon brand name will also likely stir downloads, as Shuffle will be the first title in the franchise available in this format. It probably won’t hold the same appeal for players as, say, one of the main series titles, but lapsed fans that don’t own a 3DS just might find themselves tempted by the price tag!
Do you plan on checking out Pokémon Shuffle on iOS? Or are you one of the more than four million players that have already downloaded it on 3DS? As always, let us know in the comments below!

Tried it. The interface works just fine. That said, not impressed, for two main reasons:
1) No way to copy over your 3DS data. Would have loved it if I could play on either one and the other would take the progress too. I’m not replaying 160 or however many stages it is that I’ve finished on the 3DS one.
2) Things cost more. I assume they’re betting on that people playing on mobile are more likely to be accepting of microtransations, but for example an Ultra Ball costs 3500 coins on the iOS one while it only costs 2500 on the 3DS version.
And by Ultra Ball, I mean Great Ball. Whoops.
