A new week of summertime downloads is upon us! Get the scoop on what titles should be gracing your radar, including more from Hamster’s excellent ACA lineup!

3DS eShop

Kirby’s Blowout Blast – $6.99—Fans of Kirby: Planet Robobot will be immediately familiar with this quirky spinoff. Utilizing the same 3D assets of the nominal minigame found in that title, there over 25 stages to explore in this budget game. This isn’t the first time that Nintendo has mined Kirby minigames for expansion titles, which are generally very solid experiences, so Blowout Blast should be very much worth a look.

Switch eShop

ACA NeoGeo Metal Slug 2 – $7.99—Heck yes more Metal Slug has arrived on Switch; Metal Slug 2 is one awesome shoot ’em up that can’t be missed. Leaderboards and filtering options abound, making this the definitive version of the title to play!

Implosion – $11.99—Formerly a mobile game, Implosion has transitioned to Switch and shows some promise. Mech-based combat is mixed with sci-fi, hack and slash action, now optimized for a proper controller and boasting better visuals.

Wii U eShop

Revenant Saga – $9.99—We’ve gotta hand it to developer Kemco; it keeps pumping out JRPG titles for both 3DS and Wii U that tickle that old-school, retro itch that many fans of the genre enjoy. This title revolves around a populace that’s been hoodwinked into ingesting a bogus “cure” for a disease and features 3D battles and weapon customization.

Rayman Raving Rabbids – $19.99—Likely to help get fans primed for Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, the first solo outing of the titular Rabbids on Wii has arrived on Wii U as a Virtual Console title. It’s a predominantly minigame-focused excursion with a loose connection to Rayman, but it did spawn an entire franchise that’s going strong to this day, so consider giving it a play.
