Summer Game Fest 2025 is right around the corner. The event kicks off at the YouTube Theater out in Inglewood, California on Friday, June 6, 2025. There, fans and media will get to see a showcase of new game announcements from many of the biggest publishers in the video game industry. Geoff Keighley, the creator and host of Summer Game Fest, shared an image showing off the logos of partners for this year’s festivities, and among the likes of Capcom, Atari, SEGA, PlayStation, Xbox, and others, was a fan-favorite around these parts: Nintendo!
Well, to be specific, the Nintendo Switch 2 logo is featured. To what capacity Nintendo is involved with Summer Game Fest is a bit of a mystery. Is Nintendo going to show off some new trailers? Or is Nintendo simply throwing its name around to ensure Switch 2 gets as many eyeballs on it as possible? Many feel it’s more likely the latter scenario, especially given Switch 2 will be exactly one day old on June 6—a Nintendo Direct packed with announcements is the more probably plan, at least based on the company’s independent streak.
Regardless, it’s always encouraging to see Nintendo playing nice with others. Tell us what you think Nintendo’s Summer Game Fest plans are down in the comments!
