Once upon a time, Xenoblade was a series Nintendo of America couldn’t be bothered to localize here in the West. Following a very successful petition by fans under the auspices of Operation Rainfall, the game finally had its turn in North America under the new name Xenoblade Chronicles (am I the only one who wish they never added Chronicles to the name?), the series is now one of the mainstay franchises of the Nintendo pantheon and is showing no signs of slowing down. First up are the rereleases of Xenoblade Chronicles 1-3 for Nintendo Switch 2, with the first already available now. After that? The next game in the series, Xenoblade Genesis. Here’s you first look:
Xenoblade Genesis is being billed as a “new beginning for the Xenoblade series.” It comes to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027 and… uh, well, that’s about all we know! The trailer is certainly tantalizing, though, and here are some screenshots to speculate over, as well:
