Nintendo Switch 2 is launching in June, which means along with the console and new games, fans will also be needing to pick up new accessories. Chief among them for many players will be getting ahold of the new Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller. Other than its silver highlights, a quick glance at the device might not reveal what sets it apart from the original Switch Pro Controller. Let’s break down pricing, availability, and what’s new:
- MSRP: $79.99
- Available 06.05.25
- HD rumble 2
- Motion controls
- Built-in amiibo functionality
- Capture Button
- C Button for GameChat
- GL/GR buttons that you can map to any button you choose.
- Audio jack – 4 pole stereo 3.5mm mini plug (CTIA standard)

Returning features, like HD rumble 2 and motion controls, will be refined and better than on the original Switch, as well as the control sticks, which Nintendo says will be smoother and more reactive. The two things that will likely stand out most to players are the new C Button and GL/GR buttons on the back. The C Button we went into detail about here, but in brief, it toggles on and off the new GameChat function that allows users to speak with one another during gameplay.
