While it may not have been featured during the Nintendo Treehouse’s live stream last week at E3, Metroid Prime: Federation Force, the cooperative Metroid offshoot by Next Level Games, is still slated to arrive this August, and Nintendo has revealed some new information about the game’s Amiibo functionality.
According to the company’s Twitter account, scanning either of the two Samus Super Smash Bros. Amiibo will change the skin of your character’s power suit and grant you “helpful in-game upgrades” (though Nintendo didn’t specify just what those would entail). Similarly, you can also scan other Amiibo in the game’s Blast Ball mode to customize your mech with a paint job based on that particular character.
