Over the weekend, Nintendo released Metroid: Samus Returns for 3DS. The title already seems to be a critical success, and, with Amiibo two-packs and special editions of the game hard to come by, perhaps a financial success, as well. Metroid fans that still need more merch to celebrate Samus’ resurgence can now do so with a pair of new, limited edition t-shirts from the company’s online store.
The announcement of both Samus Returns and Metroid Prime 4 at this year’s E3 proved exciting for fans of the franchise. While last year’s release of Metroid Prime: Federation Force was not the disaster some predicted, many were still disappointed. Fans of Samus Aran were concerned Nintendo had lost faith in the franchise. This year, Nintendo proved that was certainly not the case! There hasn’t been this good a time to be a Metroid fan since 2002!
