Finally, we have release dates! The games we’ve known about all year long have solid dates! In its massive information blowout this morning, Nintendo has laid out the plans for the rest of 2013. Here’s the schedule of North American releases:
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD for Wii U: September 20 (digital) and October 4 (physical) for $49.99
- Wii Party U for Wii U: October 25 for $49.99 (comes bundled with Wii Remote Plus)
- Super Mario 3D World for Wii U: November 22 for $59.99
- Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for Wii U: December 6 for $49.99
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for 3DS: November 22 for $39.99
- Mario Party: Island Tour for 3DS: November 22 for $39.99
Wii Fit U and Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games for Wii U were also confirmed to be coming to Wii U this year, but their exact dates were not announced.
This holiday looks like it will be a straight up Nintendo blowout. Get hyped, everyone! An interesting thing to note is that only Super Mario 3D World is being priced at the industry standard of $59. All the other games are $49 or under. Competitive pricing on even the games, perhaps?

My wallet is already squealing for November.
I’ve got a sinking suspicion that Mario & Sonic will slip into January/February. Maybe even Wii Fit as well. Though, I could see them using the New Years Resolution angle to sell it.
I wept when I read all the announcements today. Getting. 2DS day one!
Well, my birthday and Christmas are all mapped out!
