Here we go again.
Nintendo’s knee-deep in the life cycles of Wii U and 3DS, but a recent job posting by the company has people wondering if the replacement for one (or both) of those consoles is already underway. Nintendo is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, specifically with expertise in handling software development for low powered device. That last bit suggests a handheld, but the reality is there’s no way of knowing what sort of hardware may or may not be getting worked on based off the listing alone. In any event, Nintendo is known for working on its systems years in advance, so it’s not unusual for the company to be getting the ball rolling now.
What do you want from Nintendo’s next systems? Should the company offer a 2-in-1 system that merges handheld with home console? Voice your thoughts in the comments!
