Sonic Racing CrossWorlds is coming soon and SEGA is hitting fans with a bevy of details in preparation. First off, the Nintendo Switch version of the game is still slated for a 09.25.25 launch. The Nintendo Switch 2 version, however, has been a question mark, but we now know that the digital version will hit the console around the Christmas shopping season, while the physical edition will hit in early 2026. Let’s look at the pricing breakdown:
- Standard Edition: $69.99
- Digital Deluxe Edition: $89.99
SEGA has been kind enough to reassure fans that the Switch 2 version of CrossWorlds will have the entire base game on the cartridge—no shifty Game-Key Cards here, thank you very much. What’s more, if you opt for the Nintendo Switch version, you can upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 version for $10.00 via an Upgrade Pack. Options are nice!
Now, beyond all that, SEGA also released a new trailer showing off the customization and gadgets features in CrossWorlds. It’s a welcome trailer, honestly, as we didn’t get to go too deep into either during our hands-on session. You can see it in the video right above, if you’d like. There are over 40 vehicles, more than 70 gadgets, and an excess of 100 vehicle parts and decals to mix and match. SEGA alleges there are at least a thousand combinations for players to try out. That’s a lot! And it will be out in the wild for fans to try before long.
