With the November release of Pokémon Sun and Moon quickly approaching, new details continue to trickle out. This time around, the newest issue of CoroCoro has given us a glimpse at a pair of evolutions for the Pokémon Rockruff, as well as some of the new Ultra Beasts that will make their debut. We’ve mirrored images from the magazine below!
According to CoroCoro, Rockruff will have both day and night evolutions, with the latter taking on a werewolf-like appearance. Rockruff seems to be one of the bigger new Pokémon in the game, as the character is set to appear as one of the stars in the upcoming manga based on Sun and Moon. This is also the debut of a pair of new Ultra Beasts, UB-02: Beauty, and UB-02: Expansion.
The magazine also provided new details regarding the next season of the Pokémon anime. Apparently, Ash’s journey through the Alola region will see the character enrolled in school, a first for the series. The teaser image seems to hint that Ash’s Charizard will return to provide Poké Rides, a feature we’ve seen in trailers for the Sun and Moon games. Lapras also appears in the image, which may hint that Ash’s transportation through the region could be similar to the way he explored the Orange Archipelago. Unlike Charizard, Ash’s Lapras has not appeared in the anime in quite some time, so it is unclear whether or not this will be the same Pokémon.
Pokémon Sun and Moon will release for 3DS November 18.
