The fine folks at UDON Entertainment had announced during San Diego Comic Con International last July that the publisher had acquired the rights to do a new Mega Man comic book series. For months, fans waited, curious as to what that comic might be like. We even asked Matt Moylan, director of publishing at UDON, about the book, with him only being able to say that they had lots planned for Mega Man in 2025. Well, now we finally know what some of those plans are: a new five-issue series dubbed Mega Man Timelines.
The Blue Bomber is back! MEGA MAN returns in five connected 1-shot comics spanning five different eras of robotic heroes! In this first issue, the original Mega Man squares off against two explosive and fiery Robot Masters bent on city-wide destruction! Fight, Mega Man! For everlasting peace!
Mega Man Timelines #1 will come to comic book shops on May 28, 2025. You should totally put in a pre-order for the series, which you can do at your LCS or via UDON directly once they update the site. We have high hopes for this one, as UDON tends to produce some stellar comic books, like the recent Final Fight series the publisher put out. If you’re interested in samping UDON’s take on Mega Man prior to issue one hitting stands, you could head into your LCS on Free Comic Book Day to pick up Mega Man #0:
